SPRINTATHON

Press STEAM → Power → Switch to Desktop. Open your browser. You can bring up the on-screen keyboard with STEAM + X while Steam is running.

Use the Linux download button above to save the Sprintathon .flatpak to Downloads. SteamOS already includes Flatpak. Open Konsole from the application menu and run these commands, accepting the installation prompts:

cd ~/Downloads
flatpak install --user --reinstall ./Sprintathon-20260924-0031-x86_64.flatpak

If you renamed the download, use its actual filename in the command.

Get Marathon, Marathon 2: Durandal, or Marathon Infinity. On each page, choose Download for Windows. These ZIP downloads contain the raw standalone game files you need for Sprintathon.

In Dolphin, create /home/deck/Games and extract each scenario into its own folder there. Keep all its files and subfolders together. The scenario folder should directly contain the game's map, shapes and sounds files.

Visit the Aleph One HD plugin downloads and choose the pack for your scenario. Extract the pack and put its individual plugin folders into that scenario's Plugins folder, creating it if needed. Each plugin folder should contain Plugin.xml; avoid an extra enclosing folder.

Restart Sprintathon after adding plugins, then enable the ones you want under Preferences → Environment → Plugins. See the plugin guide for more detail.

Open the installed Sprintathon Flatpak from the application menu. In Sprintathon's launcher, add each game by selecting its extracted scenario folder, then select the game you want to play and launch it.

Sprintathon was inspired by Apotheosis X and works exceptionally well with it. Sprintathon also works well with most, if not all, third-party scenarios.

Download the latest full version of Apotheosis X, extract it into its own folder under /home/deck/Games, and add that folder to Sprintathon's launcher. Keep its supplied plugins with it.
